Dr. Virginia South,
C. Psych.
Dr. South was born and raised in Sarnia, ON and is happy to be providing mental health services to her community. Dr. South has always been interested in human behaviour and knew she wanted to be a psychologist after meeting one at just 10 years old and spent much of her childhood trying to analyze her siblings. Dr. South firmly believes that therapy is healthcare and takes great joy in helping others on their healing journey. She has a passion for and specialized training in helping 2SLGBTQ+ folks, in particular, trans folx discover and become their true selves.
Dr. South completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chigaco and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral licensure hours at The University of Texas at Austin, Counseling and Mental Health Centre, continuing to work there afterwards as a licenced Psychologist until she returned to Ontario in 2009.
Dr. South is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide clinical and counselling services to adults, adolescents, and couples and has been operating her own private practice since 2010. She provides psychodynamic, insight-oriented, relational, cognitive behavioural, and EMDR therapy. She has a special interest in sex therapy and psychedelic assisted therapy.

Carly Roberts, MSW, RSW
Carly has been interested in human behaviour since she was young and this interest brought her to the helping field, where she later earned her Master of Social Work at Lakehead University. Carly holds registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers. Carly finds great strength in working with her clients and seeing how resilient they are in the face of adversity.
Carly has been working as a therapist since 2016 and prior to joining the team at Dr. South & Assoc. worked at multiple community agencies throughout Sarnia, supporting folks experiencing primarily addictions and trauma. Carly is trained in and uses a variety of therapeutic modalities during her sessions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. Carly continues to expand her practice through ongoing professional development to broaden her therapy tools.
Carly is a passionate community supporter and sits on the boards of St. Clair Child and Youth Services and Sexual Assault Sarnia-Lambton where she has been Board Chair since 2021.

Emily Fithern, MSW, RSW
Emily has always been inspired by those who help others which led her to pursue a career in mental health. Emily completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Waterloo, and Master of Social Work at Western University and she is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. What Emily values most about the therapeutic process is the mutual collaboration with clients.
Emily has a passion for learning and professional development, to adapt with, and best support our growing community. Emily has years of experience working with individuals and families, with a focus on child, youth, and family counselling. Emily implements evidence-based therapy modalities, such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), that provide research-supported coping skills. Emily also enjoys therapy practices that allow for self-exploration and reflection, such as Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Emily prides herself on meeting clients where they are and adjusting her therapeutic approach to suit each individual and their mental wellness goals.

Elyse Kettle, MA, RP
Elyse Kettle has always been drawn towards helping fields and worked in multiple different social service areas and came to see that she could use her skills to do more than she was able to in past professionals. As a result, she decided to pursue her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Elyse is passionate about her career as a Psychotherapist. She considers being with people on their healing and growth journey to be fulfilling and rewarding and she looks forward to sharing this experience with clients as she learns alongside the Psychotherapists at the practice.
Kate McKeon, MSW, RSW
Kate’s approach to working with her clients starts with a belief in everyone’s intrinsic ability to heal themselves and that a good therapist provides guidance and support to unlock one's own potential to do so. Kate earned her Master of Social Work from Laurier University and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Kate has over 15 years of experience working with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds to address a variety of challenges and, in particular, she has extensive experience working with people who have experienced abuse and interpersonal violence as well as children who are experiencing mental health challenges. Kate is passionate about working with and supporting folks who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, folx from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and those who find themselves struggling to cope with life’s challenges.
Kate is an EMDR practitioner and uses EMDR, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT, and other modalities within a relational approach in her therapy sessions with clients.

Rebecca Nettleship, MACP, RP, CCC
Rebecca’s start as a therapist began as a teen when she was in counselling herself and her own therapist made a big impact on her life, inspiring her to seek out therapy as a profession. And she is glad she did because she loves helping others and that each day presents something new. Rebecca received a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, is a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is a Clinical Traumataulogist TITC-CT.
Rebecca has been working in the helping field since 2011. She takes a person-centred approach to her sessions, believing that everyone is an expert in their own lives and it is important that they be given the space and respect to share their own stories with their therapist in the way that works best for them.
Rebecca specializes in a variety of trauma-based treatment modalities, including EMDR and has a special interest in working with folks who have experienced trauma and PTSD, stress, and with couples and individuals experiencing marital and premarital issues.
